How my journey began

My name is Cody. I am 24 years old from Ireland

I came out as Transgender back in 2015, which was a time that was very hard for me. When I began to question my Gender Identity I felt alone and isolated. After finding my feet and starting to come out of my shell I felt that I needed to share my story to the world. I didn’t want anyone else feeling alone like I did. Through my transition I had many ups and downs but everyday I want to share my story more and more. I started of by sharing my journey on my YouTube channel Cody Jamie and wanted to do a lot more. I then began my volunteering journey with the organisation called TENI (Transgender Equality Network Ireland) where I began to share my journey to schools, colleges, youth groups etc. Teni then developed an Adult support group in my city Waterford where I started off being a group rep and then was moved up to being a Co-Facilitator along side Facilitator Veronica Victor. I am currently working in the heart of Healthcare, working with individuals with additional needs. Growing up was tough and I want to spread my journey above and bound, I believe nobody deserves to walk alone.
